Last night, I enjoyed reading a book about electricity. When I thought about, it was hard for me to believe that long ago people were not able to read at night. That's because there were no electric lights. Some people used candles, gas and oil lamps to see at night.
The electric light bulb was invented in 1879 by Thomas Edison. He invented many other things which we use today. He also invented things which helped other scientists develop their own inventions.
